Site Problems!?

This site may offer a fair collection of clothing, however the site itself is a major problem. I found that I could not peruse the site without signing up for an account. The site kept blocking me at every turn, insisting that I make an account with them. This is a serious security issue and is not a good sign for any site. See the attached PNG file for an example.

Terrible company the sold me defective…

Terrible company the sold me defective luggages that broke on my first trip. Very bad quality products. Don’t get full from the law prices.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!

I’ve placed 3 orders in two days. They charged my card and the order was confirmed.
A few hours later I’ve checked and all orders were canceled without email notification or explanation. My charges still stay as “pending” for 5 days now!

Customer service told me after I place an order they will send me an email to confirm it AGAIN!
What is this! I never, ever had an experience like this! I am sure the Dollar Store is betted than them!

DON’T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!

FOLLOW UP: Gilt still haven’t released my funds after five days! The CS Rep told me they have to file a TICKET in order to have my pending charges canceled. My orders were canceled because they can't verify my payment info when my name and address on the orders and the Credit Card are the same?!
Something seriously wrong is going on with them! CROOKS!

All the positive reviews are probably fake as well.

Bait and switch scam

I ordered a pillow and they sent me a mattress protector. They took days to issue a refund and they didn't issue back the full amount. Obvious bait and switch scam. This is not a legitimate company. My Credit card is going after them.

I bought a bracelet gold over silver I did the magnetic test sure enough the bracelet stuck to the magnet I just discovered this it’s too late to ask for a refund I’m so so disappointed. File a complaint with the better business to put a stop to this. Gilt shoppers check your Jewlry. 😡

Violation of FTC law, just looking out for themselves

Received the wrong item. I ordered a queen-sized duvet, but received a king-sized set of sheets. When I informed their customer service team, I was told that they would NOT be correcting the mistake by sending the correct item (which is in stock) and that I would need to return the set of sheets I did not order. This is in direct violation of FTC law - a business is NEVER allowed to hold your money for an item you did not submit payment for. The incorrect item becomes a free gift.

Update: reported them to the FTC and BBB. In my BBB case, they have come back twice saying I’d still need to return the unordered item to get a refund. THEN they said that it’s not their fault if the item I received wasn’t accurate bc of what’s written in their Terms and Conditions. SCAM COMPANY. Someone should sue them into the ground.

Call us, because we won't call you

I ordered some bowls, but received no confirming email. I called and was told it can take 24 hours, but it never came. After ten days I called asking when they would be shipped, and I was told that they would contact the supplier and email me the response, but I received nothing. At day 14 I called to discover they had no stock and the order was canceled. I never received any communication. It is so easy to send automatic emails it is astonishing that they operate like this.

Ordered mens LB shoes got ladies sunglasses. Immediately called and they are out of size 11/44 place is a joke. Look how tiny the box is and the paperwork is for shoes

ARE ALL THE LOUIS VUITTON SPEEDY 30 HE SAME BAG OR ARE THEY FROM DIFFERENT SELLERS?

DO NOT purchase from Gilt! They state they "stand behind the authenticity" of their products. THEY DO NOT! I paid $975.96 for a LV handbag. Later, (after the 30 day refund policy) it started falling apart. Found out it was a fake. Gilt will not exchange or do anything to correct this. It's horrible customer service.

Are there any current deals that are ongoing? Any specials for a first time buyer? Because of the mixed reviews (leaning towards negative), im hesistant to buy, but if some promotion were offered I think I would.

A:

Only thing I can tell you is shop elsewhere. Use ebates if your looking for a deal. There is no consistency in quality here. Wouldn't recommend this site to anyone.

I strongly advise you use Sitejabber to your advantage. Write a new review outlining your experience with Guilt and how they didn't come through with what they promised. If you're vocal enough... they may concede like they EVENTUALLY did with me.
